A pump tracks is a manmade closed circuit with rollers in between and berms at each end. They are designed to be ridden without pedaling. A full-body workout, riders use their body to pump—or push down into the dip after an elevation and pull up before the crest of a mound—throughout the continuous loop. For Appleton Academy we created a large shared start hill along with two long straights of features and bitmac surfaced berms. The site was levelled prior to importing and shaping materials.
A purpose built MTB training loop. It is designed with skill development in mind to push your mountain biking to a new level. The loop contains a multitude of features and riding options, built in rock or crushed stone to mimic the features found on trails in the wider area. Most of the features are optional, repeatable and progressive.
This 800m Blue grade trail is an exciting track, which will test riders’ skills, using specific features, which will have been practised on the interior skills trail. The trail is inclusive for a range of users skill levels but in order to access the fastest route, riders must ride all of the technical trail features.
